i think it wouldn't make any difference cuz the birthmark it self is a symbol of the earth imperfection that the nature stamps on all her production to imply that they are temporary and finite."par 9"

in her usual state the hand become clear as a delicate bloom ,but when she blushes the birth mark almost vanish among the rosiness of it's surrounding

it represent the temporary and death and that the perfection of people life must be wrought by toil and pain .

Aylmar said that story to imply that if he could remove this birthmark from his wife's cheek then he would be greater than Pygmalion cuz Georgiana is living human unlike the sculpture of Pygmalion's and thus ,Georgianne will be much perfect and Aylmer's achievement will be better that Pygmalion's .

في البدآيه ذكرت ملخص بسيط عن القصه رح أكتب إللي قدرت أكتبو معاها :

it is about children chasing a grasshoper then they find out
that was a bell cricket .

the grasshopper is an insect which is symbolize to the change of colour and change in behaviour.

the bell cricket is known insect in Japanese culture and it produces a certain sound like a bell , and both of them are liked very much from children .

usually the light in the story symbolize to awareness of something and in the literature they called it (illumination )

the narrator is not one of the children , he is an outsider narrator he can be any man around them .

the grasshopper is symbolizing the childhood , the changing the behaviour of childern , and it could be the changing mood of the young girl here .

the bell cricket is symbolizing to the music and it could be a song for the people who used to hear its voice (so it might symbolize the singing)

3)might the final three paragraphs of this story come close to stating its theme (s)?
how would you state the theme)s( ?

yes , because it shows the exchange between the girl and the boy when he gives her the grasshopper then she found out that it was a bell cricket .
