Born in New Zea Land in 1934 .
Interested in Human activity human / Human relationships ,and Interested a places
She talk taken about her experience in London where she is used to go to a park to enjoy looking at birds in the park.
She expresses her feeling that she is a foreigner ,she starts to adapt herself to the English accent. She dressed like the English . She still fells that she reaming a foreigner , she looks at the birds pelicans, immigrants.

Fleur through this poem reason the suffering of all those who immigrate to London. Those people suffer a lot of adapt themselves to British environment to the British ways of communication and culture.

In A Station Of The Metro ….. by …. Ezra Pound

American poet , critic.
He is one member of what’s known as modern movement in literature.
Ezra Pound enjoyed the Japanese poetry.
He took from Japanese poetry what is Haikus.
The poem is describing crowd of people at a metro station, and companies them of flowers on a bough ( branch of a tree ).
People at the metro station like ghosts that appear and disappear. Those people look like flowers but seam unhappy.




? Q1 : How Ezra Pound used Haiku in his poem




- Pound employed the Japanese from called Haiku ,short poem with three lines, but 17 syllables, Pound used Haiku with only two lines and 17 syllables. The japans from gives a contrast between tow images. Pound made a contrast between faces and Betal ( flower ). The Japanese make reference to a season. He made a reference to spring by the term “Betal “.

He was talking about a metro station in particulars but he made open to mean all metro station in the word. It shown the modern like with all its troubles. We suggest that the poet talk about the day of Judgment.

The speaker in this Poem is Ulysses.

He is a king of a big country, fought many wars. Lived most of his life in the sea ,and now he is bored and his people ignored him .he decided finally to spend the rest of him life in the sea.




? Q2 : How Tennyson used Monologue in this Poem




Monologue means one person talking to audience in a Poem.

In the Poem Tennyson make Ulysses talk to the audience , speaking about his own like and troubles in the sea and how his people received him. This is done in a form of conversation.

The Clod and The Pebble …… by …William Blake




Q1 : Explain the above line by William Blake ,the Clod, a love of heart and emotion ?




He talks about two kinds of love .( his own understanding ) .

One is associated with Clod, a piece of clay ,this kind is emotional affect the heart and senses. It’s self giving ( selfess ) giving what they want, can be shaped the way you like , innocents .
The other kind Pebble , It’s selfish ,taken but doesn’t give ,associated with reason , mind and experience . It’s hard . Pebble build hell in heaven, that of clod builds heaven in hell .

Poem. Blake tell him own philosophy of like that in our society Pebble vary some work according to heat and emotion , other work according to mind reason and experience.
