Dover beach
Subject : a man describes the Dover beach for his wife ,and then he tell her how the industrial revolution makes people loss their faith and this will end with people killing each other .
Theme : the whole poem is a phor of people's faith ,comparing the people's faith
During the industrial revolution with the Dover beach ,if the world become corrupted and faithless we will end with death and war .
Language : it is difficult language because it is old ,and the meaning of words are not clear because the poet used an educated language ,he used many sound devices such as alliteration for example " full/fair" , "gleams/gone" , " meets/moon"
He used also onomatopoeia like in line 10 "grating ROAR"
He also used a rhythm as in line 13" tremulous cadence"

Imagery : the poet used a lot of phor such in line "gleams and one" referring the faith strength is become to loss.
Line8"where the sea meets the moon-blanched land" comparing the light with religion and faith .
He used also simile like in line 23 & line 31
He used an allusion such in the beginning of stanza number 3 when he says" Sophocles long ago…." Referring to the ancient Greek who wrote about sadness and death ,because in that age when people lost their faith and religion ,they begin to kill each other and having wars, and the poet here see that they will have the same thing if this effect of industrial world continue to impact people ,and make them forget about their GOD and religion .

Narrator : is a man talking to his bride in a monologue quote "come to the widow.."
"ah love, let us be true "

Tone : sad, thought full

Structure :4 verses, different lines in each verse ,his rhyme scheme does n't match in the whole poem ,in every time he starts a rhyme he break it >this mach with the idea that if the world loss faith ,then it will become miss and confused ,he begin the poem with describing the sea and how lovely it is ,and end with death and war .
