Problem 10:
The Translation of Conditional Sentences

There are three types of conditional sentences in English , but only two in Arabic.

"ستتضح لكم بالأمثلة "
(1)
If you finish work early, I will visit you.
إذا أنهيت العمل / عملك مبكراً ، فسوف أزورك.
(2)
If you finished work early , I would visit you.
لو أنهيت عملك باكراً ، لكنت زرتك.
(3)
If you had finished work early , I would have visited you.
لو أنهيت عملك باكراً ، لكنت زرتك.

Problem 11:
The Change of Word Classes:

The classes of words in English are: nouns, verbs, adjective , adverbs , prepositions, articles and connectors.

Adjective as Nouns
e.g. The president palace.
القصر الرئاسي / قصر الرئاسة

Nouns as Adjectives
e.g. The status quo.
الوضع الراهن.
e.g. Music concert.
حفلة موسيقية.

Nouns as Verbs
e.g. May I take my leave.
أستأذن / اسمحو لي
e.g. They gave their agreement.
أعطوا موافقتهم / وافقوا.

e.g. English is easy to understand.
