First of all thanks very much for this sensitive topic which puzzled me for a long time . although you provided a lot of methods ,we can substitute speaking for ,yet they will not do the same job of speaking ," so in order to speak language ,we have to hear the language being used ,by itself ,however hearing language sounds is not enough ….The crucial requirement appears to be the opportunity to interact with others via language ". I quoted this phrase from the book that called The Study of Language .a



don't get me wrong , your methods are very important but let me explain my point of view I want to tell a story exactly about this subject , it's written in our book of Introduction to linguistics , ( the story is about one boy who is born with a perfect ability of speaking and hearing but unfortunately his parents were deaf ( they can't hear and as a result they can't speak ),so they used to switch on the radio and TV. to help their child to go over this ordeal . they thought by this process , their child would be able to communicate with people by speaking because he always hear the language is spoken , however when he grew up , he couldn't speak the language because he did interact with others via language ,but he learned perfectly American Sign Language which his parents used to interact with him by .l



Our situations , in my opinion ,are like him , we hear the spoken language in the radio or tv but when the moment comes to apply what we learn ,we almost fell that we can't do so ,because we didn't try or practice this language before !!! sometimes I think that I have to speak with any woman in English via chat but actually I'm afraid to do that ,and sometimes I thought that it may be forbidden, it's really dilemma !!!l

By the way your choice of the topic is opportune and I hope all members can share their experiences
