افتراضي Want to study in the USA? - Apply to UGRAD

As I received it on my email

Hello Saudi university students!
The US Mission in Saudi Arabia is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Global UGRAD program.
So what is UGRAD?
Watch the and then continue reading for more info

UGRAD offers outstanding Saudi undergraduate university students a one-semester scholarship to study in the USA. The scholarship provides international airfare, university tuition and books, housing, food, accident/sickness insurance, and a small monthly stipend. The program is open to all majors. Excellent English ability (500 on the TOEFL) is required but a small number of students who need to improve their English will receive English language training in the US prior to the start of their one semester program. Students will live in university dormitories and will have the opportunity to participate in campus organizations and activities. All students are required to participate in volunteer community service and are encouraged to participate in professional development activities as part of the Global UGRAD Program.

UGRAD is different than other exchange programs to the USA because students do not apply to the US embassy in Riyadh but instead apply directly to the US organization that administers the program, World Learning.

For more details about eligibility requirements and to complete the online student application, go to:
http://www.worldlearning.org/what-we...source-portal/
The application deadline for UGRAD is Feb 27, 2015. Start the application process early because you will need to write an essay, get letters of reference and complete a long application.

You may have already heard about two other opportunities to travel to the USA this summer. The Saudi Young Leaders Exchange Program (SYLEP) is a 3-week program (July 30-Aug 21, 2015) and the Middle East Partnership Initiative (MEPI) Student Leaders Program is a 6-week program from June 29-Aug 8. More information about these programs and the application are attached. The application deadline for both SYLEP and MEPI is Feb 3, 2015. You can apply to all three programs, UGRAD, SYLEP and MEPI.

*If you know friends, classmates or family members who might be interested in UGRAD, SYLEP or MEPI please feel free to forward this email to them and encourage them to apply. Thanks for your help!
