Listening for main ideas
Hello everybody
Welcome to the American Language Center
I'm Jena Richard's.. your academic advisor
You cannot just call me Jena
I know today is your first day at our school so you probably a little nervous may be a little shy too
so I wanna(want to) tell you right in the beginning if you do not understand something please ask question.o.k
and lesson very carefully because we are going to give you a lot of important information..information that will make you experience her enjoyable and useful okay
here we go
Let me tell you about the plan for today there are three things in your schedule
First, you will take a placement test; this test will major your English level you will take Reading, Grammar and composition test.Oh, and also listening a listening test. The whole placement test takes 3 hours.
Next, you will meet in small groups with a teacher for an orientation. This orientation meeting will be about important things you need to know like, where they buy your books, what types of classes you will have, how you will find of roommate, things like that. This is where you can ask a lot of questions.
Then finally, this afternoon you will take a campus toward will show you the main buildings where your class rooms are you will see some of the sport facilities you know that tennis courts, the swimming pool places like that
and the last of visit a library and the computer lamp
I think you will be surprised how large and how beautiful are campuses
all right, other need questions before we begin
