Subject : ending of marriage

Theme : change is not easy it is going to take a lot of hard work and courage ,and people don't have to look to the past

Language : is simple, common ,everyday language because it's talking about a wife's life ,the poem contain some use of sound devices as alletiration

Imagery : the poetess used some figurative language like simile line 2
Line 6 contain a phor "nails waiting …" referring to people that she wait to meet
And paper clips is a phor for her life in marriage

Narrator : is a wife thinking to end her marriage

Tone : pessimistic ,hesitating , unsecured thoughtful and negative and the last stanza contain a monologue to her self

Structure : 3 verses with no definite structure ,in every time she had a rhyme she break it ,and the poet seem to have no definite organize for the lines because some lines looks like they were cut > referring to her condition that she is not sure what to do ,and hesitating about her life , in the last verse the lines become more organized and she had some thoughts about her life and that shows that she become more optimistic and feeling hope with her life and future . she starts with negative unhappy un clear thoughts with fragmented ,broken and disjointed ideas ,and end with hope with a more calm and settled tone and she has some ideas for her next decision .
