The song Why so pale and wan fond lover by Sir John Suckling tell us about

his fond friend but his beloved doesn't love her so he is persuading him to leave her .The theme of this song is in

the last verse as Suckling tell his friend that if herself doesn't love you

no one can make her ,as Sucklingtry to make him understand that isn't

find some one els .Suckling uses different types of sound devices such as

alliteration as it in verse one (well - when and will) in verse two )

will -well-wen) and he uses rhyme as it first verse (well -well-ill-peale ) in



second verse (can't-do\t-mute) in the third verse (quit--not well as he uses


repetation as shown in these words (pale-mute-quit-


her-will).The song is in the form of monologue.The tone of


song is irony ,is made of three verses eachverse made of



four lines using rhyme scheme of abab .I feel that this poem

is important in our communicative live because it persuaded me to leave


every thing and have to enjoy my live as muchas I can and leave any


destorying matter behinde me.
