what I have meant is the following
if your instructor asks you to introduce a presentation about any literary work, you will talk about a story that you have seen, film, play ...etc
so the general field is "literature" and the specific topic that you can choose is a "story, play, movie"a
I think you can talk about your adventure and your own experience about something if it's interesting enough to attract your instructor
