Drama of Dreams and Illusions

In a large garden house, there were four sisters looking at the large garden in optimism and gladness
وسن : يالروعة الحدائق كم هي جميلة ومدهشة.
Eman: everything here is please,the sun,clouds birds,flowers,perfumes,everything
Samar: And don’t forget the colors. They are more than wonderful
Ban: I wish I would become part of it ,I wish I would be this rose or this perfume or that bird which is dancing upon the branches
وسن: ليتني اصبح خيط شمس ينثر ذهبه على الاوراق.
Eman:I wish i a raindrop flowing on this green leaf
Samar: We are baskets of dreams and wishes. Gorgeous gardens give us some more
(From the outside, a grumpy voice comes from the big sister Rabab)
رباب: اين انتن ايتها اللعينات ؟ وماذا تفعلن؟
The Four of Them: (in one voice) we’re here Rabab
رباب: (وهي تدخل) هنا! الم تشبعن من هذا المكان الشيطاني؟
Ban: Demonic ?? how could you describe it so , while the gardens are the most beautiful picture is drawn on the ground
رباب:بل هي اسوؤها .. العنها .. انها اعشاش للشياطين.
وسن : راي غريب هذا يارباب . ان الحدائق قطع من الجنة.
رباب: لاعلاقة للجنة بهذه الاماكن. الجنة هناك في السماء حيث الملائكة.اما هذه فهي مرتع الشياطين. هيا .. جميعكن الى الدار .. هيا.
Eman: why we are living moments of happiness right now
رباب: الراحة الحقيقية في البيت ..العالم الذي ستجدن فيه الجمال هناك وليس هنا.
(she force them to get inside the house)
Samar: Oh my God! Till when she will control us this authoritarian sister?
وسن : (تتفحص البيت) اين هو الجمال؟
Ban: ( in a sarcastic way )On these wet walls ?
Eman : in this dark room?!
Samar: In these beds that doesn’t compare except for laziness and sleepiness.. The beds with silly dreams?
رباب: من حقك ان تقولي( احلام سخيفة).. ذلك لانك لم تعرفي شيئا عن الاحلام. لو تتبعيني انت واخواتك الاخريات لجعلت كل واحدة تنال حلمها بسهوله.
وسن : نناله منك انت ؟ .. انت يارباب؟
رباب : سوف اوجه اليكن اسئلة واريد الاجابة عليها.
Samar: Please
رباب : مالذي اجتذبكن في الحدائق؟
Eman : the flowers
رباب: وبعد .
Ban: The sun
رباب: ثم..
وسن : العصافير والغيوم والعطور.
رباب :حسنا .. ستجدن كل هذا في البيت.
Ban: How ?
رباب : لحظة واحدة وستعرفين.
(She enters one of the rooms and comes back with sewing threads and cloth pieces for pillows)
رباب: خذن .. من هذه القطع سوف تكوّن كل واحدة منكن عالمها الجميل.
Shams: I create my world from this?
From the threads and the ile?
رباب : وسوف اعلمك ذلك. انظري هذه القطعة السوداء سترسمين عليها غيمة بيضاء.
(تتجه الى بان) وهذه الزرقاء سترسمين عليها شمسا ذهبية.
(تتجه الى وسن) وعلى هذه القطعة السمائية ارسمي عصفورك المفضل. (تتجه الى ايمان ) اما هذه القطعة الخضراء فارسمي عليها زهرة حمراء.
Eman: and the fragrance!how can I draw it?
رباب : (بتلعثم) العطر؟! .. لاداعي للعطر .. اوه ..لا .. سوف تستنشقينه حين تزورك الزهرة في المنام .
Eman:(laughing)in my dreams!the flower come to me in my dreams?!
رباب : طبعا .. والا مافائدة الرسم على الوسائد؟ ستزورك بالتاكيد .
وسن : (بسخرية) وهل زارتك هذه الاشياء في المنام.
رباب : بالتاكيد .. دائما تزورني .. انها تتسرب من الوسادة الى راسي باستمرار فاعيش كل ليلة في عالم رائع الجمال.
Shams: my sister‚which world you are talking about ?
رباب: عالم الاحلام طبعا.
Ban: But it's a dream , it's not a vision
رباب : بان . احلام اليقظة كذبة كبيرة .. لااحلام حقيقية سوى احلام النوم.
Eman:this is your conviction not ours
رباب : ولكنها قناعة حقيقية وليست وهما. هل تتذكرن ذلك الطائر الجميل الذي كنت مولعة به فيما مضى؟ الطائر ذا الريش الملون الزاهي الذي يحط على شجرة اليوكالبتوس كل يوم . الم اكن اخرج للحديقة من اجله لعلني اصطاده.
وسن : نعم نتذكر ذلك.
رباب : هل استطعت ان اصطاده في الحديقة؟
Shams: No ‚ you lost (wasted) the bird forever
رباب : هاقد قلتيها بفمك . ضاع الى الابد.
Shams: But it doesn’t his desire
The bird beloved our garden and comforted to your whistling
وسن : كانت رغبة ذلك الصياد المجنون الذي ادمن اصطياد الطيور الجميلة . لقد صوب نحوه طلقة قاتلة وعندما اخطاته فرّ من هنا ولم يعد ابدا.
رباب : ولكنه لم يفر الى الابد كما تدعين .. انني اصطاده بين ليلة واخرى في المنام. امسكه بيدي .اتحسس باصابعي ريشه الناعم .. واطرب على هديله العذب.
Ban: but what's our relations ? your bird was lost from you and you resorted to the sleep dreams ..however we are at the beginning of our dreams and our spring .. and every one wants to see her dream is embodied in front of her eyes
رباب: هذه صفاقة منك وقلة ادب. كيف توجهين لي هذه الاهانة .. انا لست موهومة؟ .
Ban: in an annoying way ) are you in illusion !!! pardon me for telling you that ..then what's wrong , if we go to our yard and enjoy everything we see ? let us do that , and forget about the cushions of illusions
رباب: (مع نفسها .. وباصرار وحزن في ان واحد) لن اجعلكن تغادرن هذا القفص. الحديقة سوف تسرقكن الواحدة تلو الاخرى .. ولم يبق في هذه الدار سوى هذه البنت التي هرمت مبكرا(تقصد نفسها) وذلك الاب العجوز.. بنت هرمة تخدم ابا عجوزا داخل بيت موحش هذا كل مايتبقى هنا. ان طائري الذي اقصته طلقة ذلك الصياد المجنون ..جعلني لااطيق رؤية الحديقة .. لقد انتظرت سواه حين غاب .. لكن اغصان هذه الحديقة لم تهبني سوى عصافير صغيرة مسافرة ابدا لاتعرف الاستقرار. كنت اريد ذلك الطائر الجميل منها ولااريد سواه .. اما انتن فكل واحدة منكن ترضي بكل شيء فيها. ( بصوت جازم فيه انفعال شديد تخاطب اخواتها)
هيا . فلتبدا كل واحدة منكن بحياكة حلمها .كل واحدة تشرع منذ الان بغرز الابرة والبدء بلااعتراض.
Eman: before we begin let me tell you this story wich I was red it in a book
Shams: Is it old book or new one?
Eman:there is no difference as long as that idea always renewing
وسن : وماذا تقول الحكاية.
Eman:there was a girl whom engagement to a boy
The story girl:(she show standing in the garden of the house,watching abird land on the ground when here little sister show up and ask here)
the sister:why you are rigid such as statue?
The story girl:shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhush
The sister:what are you doing?you'r even holding your breath
The story girl:I want swoop down on the bird and caugt it.
The sister:And what you will do with it?
the story girl:i will put it in a cage inside the house,thus,we living together longevity.
The sister:but there is a distance between the two of you.
The story girl:shush...I will let him until it start eating the seeds and then I will caught it by my bare hands
(she is preparing to attack it but she's can not caught any thing except one feather from the bird's wing.
the sister: I told you that you're far frome it, and ther is no way to caught it
The story girl:no it's not far longer.look to his feather it is from him
The sister: what you will do with this feather?
The girl story:I will plant it in the garden and irrigation it every single day of these rivers(she is point to her eyes)until the feather grow up and become big beautiful bird and ther is no one can share it with me
رباب: وتلك الفتاة هي انا ا اليس كذلك؟.. تقصين علينا هذا لكي تمزقي مشاعري بسكين صلافتك؟ اليس هذا هو قصدك ؟
Eman:I tell you this because you want from us to plant the feather lifelong
رباب: اخرسي .
Ban: Why she has to shut up? ,but why we have to do so ? isn't this the truth ?
رباب:لا ايتها الملعونة ليست هذه الحقيقة.
Shams: It is the truth
رباب : (بعصبية) ولتكن هي .. لتكن هذه هي الحقيقة .. فلتريني كل واحدة ماذا ستفعل ؟
وسن : سوف نريك.(تتجه الى اخواتها الاخريات وتجمع منهن قطع القماش والخيوط ثم تقدمها الى رباب) خذي .. خذي قماش اوهامك .. لسنا من ينتظر احلام النوم .. نحن نعشق احلام اليقظة. انها تهب ارواحنا الامل . لانريد الاستكانة هنا طوال اليوم .. نريد ان نندمج بحياة الحديقة .. هذه رغبتنا فقدريها واحترميها.
( تخاطب اخواتها) هيا.. لنعد الى عالمنا الجميل فمازال ضوء النهار موجودا هناك .. فلنسبح بخيوط شمسه ولنرى من خلال ضوئه جمال الحياة.
They start to leave together and Rabab stay alone.. they continue to get out but suffers then Rabab start to whine so Ban returns to her with deep emotions)
Ban hangs Rabab ) enough crying… my heart pulls apart suffering on you now … we all love you…. I swear we love you .. you are our oldest sister that we love … but …..
رباب: ولكنني معقدة اليس كذلك؟
وسن: (وقد عادت مع الاخريات) .. لا .. لست معقدة ياحبيبتي .. ولكن صدمتك الاولى تمكنت منك ولم تستطيعي الخلاص منها.
Shams: my darling‚ you are still in young age and don’t give it to depress walls
Leave them․․
Please leave them
Don’t shrivel here
Eman: the garden waiting for you there beauty asking abut you ,abut the water that you've pourring by your hands
come with us rabab
رباب: لااستطيع .. لقد كرهت عالم الحدائق.. كرهته.
وسن : لااحد في الكون يكره الحدائق .. ولو سالت اعماقك عن ذلك لقالت كلاما غير كلام لسانك .. انك تحبنها .. هيا .. هيا ايتها الحبيبة .. اخرجي معنا.
رباب: لااستطيع .
The Four of Them: No You Can!! You Can! Come On.
And they carry her with their hands outside to the Garden..)
