وصف الماضي ب Used to

Used to can describe habits or customs in the past that ar not followed anymore .
يعني Used to تستخد لوصف عادة حصلت بالماصي ولكنك لم تعدي تؤديها بعد اليوم .

مثال :
I used to eat apple everyday , but I stopped eating it .

وهكذا تكون بصيغة النفي :
The negative is formed this way : didn't used to
مثال :
American women didn't use to wear pants back then .

Chapter 7
Noun Clauses with Wh- Wordes
الجمل الاسمية ب Wh

1- A noun clause is a subject-verb combination . it can begin with a wh- word ( who , what , when , where , why , how ) followed by a subject and a verb .

مثال :

Ricky knew When lucy was playong a tich on him

when = -wh
Lucy = subject
was playing a trick on = verb

مثال تاني على نقطة تانية :

at the beginning of a sentence , a noun clause is the subject . after the main verb , a noun clause is the object .
مثال :

what America needs to see is happy family

what america needs to see = subject
is = verb
a happy family = object

مثال اخر للنقطه الثالثة :

the verb tense in the noun clause usually follows the verb tense of the main clause .

Hamed knew why Ahmad asked for an advance on his allowance .
